Winkel
Motors is a Pontiac/GMC/Hummer dealership
located in Reno, Nevada. The Dealership was established
in 1943, selling used cars close to downtown Reno.
The dealership was moved to Kietzke lane in 1965.
Today, Winkel Motors operates facilities in Reno,
Sparks and Yerington, Nevada, and employs in excess
of 150 people on a full-time basis. Combines sales
of the dealerships has grown to exceed 100 million
dollars annually. In the Reno area alone, Winkel Motors
has sold more than 70,000 cars and trucks and continues
to offer exceptional service to each of its valued
customers.
Mike
Winkel, owner of Winkel Motors, wanted to upgrade
his dealership for a long time. His concern for outstanding
customer service combined with his sense of professionalism
led him to contact IBI to evaluate the possibilities of making his dealership a one of a kind. Mike wanted
to find a way to communicate more efficiently with
his customers. He wanted his communication to be high-tech,
in real-time and customized to fit the Winkel Vision.
Mike was also eager to continue finding some factors
of differentiation. How could he do all this all at
once?
IBI
had the solution: the iScreen.
With
its unique way of broadcasting custom information
on beautiful plasma screens, the iScreen came to Winkel
as the perfect solution. It was not only going to
solve a lot of communication challenges for the dealership, but it would
also create a new profit center to the business. Mike
Winkel saw this right away: a solution that would
allow him to display his custom information to
his captive audience at any time of the day or the night. It was going to improve his communication,
internally and externally, enhance his brand, boost
his employee morale and generate advertising revenues.
What a breakthrough! The iScreen would add significant
value to his business.
We
set up 7 screens all over the dealership, redecorated
the interior to make it more modern and customer friendly,
and developed custom content for each screen.
Now
customers at Winkel find themselves in a warm environment
while waiting for their car to be serviced. They are
presented with informative content, fun videos and
beautiful TV screens to make their waiting time a
very pleasant one. They feel AT HOME! We at IBI continue
to develop custom content for Winkel Motors to fit
the season, the internal communication needs as well
as the need for advertising for various outside businesses
who seek exposure.
